Our Story
Amazing Pubcycle was born out of a simple idea: Asheville is one of the most vibrant, walkable, and genuinely fun cities in the country — and the best way to see it is together, moving through it, not sitting in a van looking out a window.
We started with one bike and a belief that strangers become friends fastest when they’re pedaling together down Lexington Avenue with the music up. That’s still true today. We’ve grown, added tours, and gotten better at what we do — but the core experience hasn’t changed: you show up, we take care of the rest, and you leave with a story worth telling.
Every tour departs from 37 N. Spruce St., right in the heart of downtown, and winds through Asheville’s neighborhoods, murals, bars, and landmarks. Our guides know this city inside and out — the history, the hidden spots, and exactly where to stop for the best pint.
The People Behind the Pedals
Nathan
Nathan grew up near Atlanta and came to Asheville by way of the classroom — he spent three years teaching 8th grade science before joining the Pubcycle in 2019. A cyclist, a former bike shop mechanic, and someone who genuinely loves this city, he brings the same energy to every ride.
Shawn
Shawn moved from Michigan and launched Amazing Pubcycle in 2013 after convincing City Council to let him run a pedal-powered tour through downtown Asheville. His vision — that a pubcycle tour should be a real Asheville experience, not just a bar crawl — shapes everything we do.
